Friends Caught in War Situations

Reading our Sane One's blog on her friend's husband not able to see his family due to war brings to mind that sometimes, safe in our own little haven here in Singapore, we forget that there are people who cannot see their loved ones or who live with bombings in their cities everyday. We are really blessed that the Lord keep His hand over us, that we have our loved ones near to us and having the opportunity to praise God every single day that we can step out of our house into clean streets and intact buildings.

I recently wrote to our Israel friend Sylvia (Dadu's wife) to see if she is doing ok with the bombing going on. Here is what she says:

"David is concerned about how this is all going to affect us again with people not wanting to come because of the missiles and rockets flying in the north at the moment. God will help us! We did not ask for this and we don't want this either, but this is the situation in this Land and we have to believe God has it all in His Hands.

Hizbollah the terror group is out to destroy anyone and everyone and the world should be thanking Israel for taking this step to hinder their plans. War is not remote-control, or elegant or clean and nice in any way and people get hurt. Hizbollah have been using the Lebanese people for years and now goes into their living rooms and bedrooms with rockets to shoot at Israeli cities. No nation in the world would let this happen and not retaliate. We are surely wanting a quick end to this situation. May God grant the victory. It is His battle..2 Chron. 20. 10-12"

Let's keep our friends who are caught in wars (wherever they be from) in prayers that the Lord keep them safe, assure their hearts of His protection & security and that their families will be provided for & comforted by the Lord during this time of absence.
